Ever hear of Horizon? Yep, there near the coast of Western Thanalan are my stomping grounds. Born and raised there by my once eternally bonded parents who met at the Golden Saucer. Mom worked there as one of the many attendants while my dad was there gambling high stakes Triple Triad. He was a charmer, Mom puts it, and eventually got a job there as a dealer. They soon eternally bonded and, just after that, I was born.

Mom was sweet. Cared for me with a firm hand. She had to, I was a wild child! I may have made quite a bit of mischief between my home and Vesper Bay as a kitten, perhaps more than my share. She never liked me wandering off to the Bay, the journey was too dangerous. And that's what I loved about it!

Dad was hardly around. After his shift would end at the Saucer he just stayed there most of the time. He worked hard for his money. He also made that money disappear like a stage magician. He was too hooked on gambling that somehow it was a struggle making ends meet. For two well paying jobs, it made little sense.

A few years later, we received word that Dad had been arrested and taken to Ul'dah to be jailed. Seems he had been stealing some of the Saucer's winnings at his tables. Mom was devastated, whereas I had mixed feelings about it. We never saw him again.

You know, Dad once told me I was unlucky, that I brought him misfortune when I was born. Mom, on the other hand, said I was the luckiest thing to ever happen in her life. So, I'm fine with how things turned out.

Presently, I continue to travel, help out here and there, but I'm always, always, looking for my next thrill, my next risk, my next death defying adventure! Where will my thirst for the ridiculously dangerous take me next?

Only one way to find out!

This portion of the story remains unknown to Lucky, himself, and it's a secret that remains hidden by all, including his patron Twelve, Althyk the Keeper, except for the parties involved. Which parties? Two in particular... the Lady Amandine and Hydaelyn.

This portion of Lucky's story takes place when he was 13 years old during All Saints' Wake.It was that year that his mother, Lady, took time off work to take Lucky to Gridania for the main All Saints' Wake celebrations. It was Lucky's favorite holiday, and with it being so close to his birthday, his mother saved enough money to make it a special year for him!Once they arrived, they both attended the festivities at the Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre, and they make a trip to Haukke Manor (this being the only time of year when it's considered not only safe but fun to enter). Lucky had an amazing time, and with all that had happened in the past, nothing made his mother happier.But, Lucky had such a good time that he knew he had to return to Haukke Manor. Being the mischievous, thrill seeker he was becoming, he felt he had to go back outside of the holiday.

So, on the night All Saints' Wake ended, the night before he and his mother were to depart by airship back to Ul'dah, he snuck out of their inn room at the Roost while his mother slept soundly, rented a chocobo, and set back out into the Black Shoud. Next stop, the real Haukke Manor!

Once he arrived, Lucky gaped in awe at the sight of the manor, eerie in shadows that hugged the mansion as the moonlight shone from above. The light, rolling fog gave the scene an eldritch quality. He managed to walk the path of paved stone and steps to the front doors. He opened the large, creaking doors and entered the manor.It was dark inside, dreary, chilling, and a contrast from the festive tone Lucky experienced from before. The moonlight shining through the large stained glass window outlined his young body, and it all made him smile. This was it! The real nature of this feared property he wanted to see! Little did he know that, silently, resident imps had already begun to follow him. As he wandered the halls and peaked into the rooms, spying on the voidsent within, he remained unaware of not only the imps, but the ahrimans serving as manor sentries had their respective eyes on him.

After exploring as much of the first floor as he could and part of the second floor, Lucky found himself at the double-door of the master suite. As he was about to open the door, a shadow cast before behind him. Seeing it cast on the door, he gasps and swiftly turns around. There, standing before him, was none other than the voidsent master of the manor, Lady Amandine! She grins at him wickedly as Lucky stares at her with widened eyes, frozen from a mixture of surprise and startle. In less than a second, she reaches to snatch him!... And that's the last thing Lucky saw before he awoke in the morning, safe and seemingly unharmed in his inn room at the Roost, his mother smiling as she prepared for their journey home. He has since dismissed it as a vivid dream.

So, what actually did happen? Herein lies the secret Lucky may never know.

In the depths underneath Haukke Manor, Lady Amandine had prepared Lucky, now unconscious from the magic fueled potently by her dark aether and laid out on alter, as a sacrifice. She sensed Lucky's abundance of aether, more so than most adults who dared enter her abode outside of the All Saints' holiday. The other residents gathered around to help with the ritual, hungry and eager for the imminent, magnificent feast! Chanting resonated with the eerie acoustics of the walls, warped by the dark aether that flowed around the young miqo'te, and slowly his breath, his pulse, and his life force her drawn from him.Before long, Lucky was still, limp, and cold, lifeless.

The voidsent gathered close as Lucky's aether, bright and oddly brilliant, floated over him with a sheen of darkness under it. They licked their demonic lips, salivating at the sight! Lady Amandine's twisted smile went from ear to ear, and looking around at all who gathered, she raised her arms and called to them with wicked delight, "Let the feast commence!"

At that very second, a gust of warm wind blew into the chamber, and radiance washed over the walls, the floor, and everyone inside. It whipped and swirled, blowing the demons off from their feet while grounding the winged. Amandine found herself pinned to a nearby wall when a light brighter than any of them had ever known flashed! In that moment of blindness, screams could be heard all throughout Haukke, loud and shrill enough to rouse the dead.Peering through the light, Lady Amandine focused ahead of her at the alter, and there she saw a female figure, radiant, pristine, and pure. Lucky was cradled in her arms breathing shallowly. The figure gazed upon the succubus with rage as she slowly shook her head to her in clear warning. All Amandine could do in that moment was gasp in shock as she trembled, "Wha... H... Ha.... Hydaelyn...!?"Then, as soon as it came, the blinding light and the holy warmth disappeared from the chamber, taking Lucky with it. The voidsent, after collecting their composures, grimaced and grumbled. Lady Amandine, pained, gave pause to what happened before that twisted, fearsome smile returned. She knew she'd see Lucky again. Upset that he had been so lucky to escape on the Mothercrystal's favorable graces, she also admired his strength now knowing why his aether was so potent.

What happened that evening did not entirely save Lucky's life, so to speak; not in a traditional sense. He is alive, yes, but between the dark aether that caused his death and the light aether he had that magnified in Hydaelyn's presence, something strange occurred to him. It's been undetectable to anyone, including himself, and its a phenomenon that only the star's matriarchal Primal and Haukke Manor's master succubus know about and will likely never reveal it. See, Lucky isn't so alive anymore, but he isn't quite dead any longer, either. While the light aether is incredibly strong within him, the infusion of the copious amounts of dark aether and the state of permanent death he was in places in a unique state which could one day reveal itself fully.

Although Lucky's still a living miqo'te, corporeal, warm, grows, and ages like a fully living being, he's also a ghost, unaware he can become incorporeal, halt his aging process, and exist indefinitely. HIs soul exists not so much between planes or realms, but between lightness and darkness, an aetheric dichotomy which exists uniquely to him.This may explain why he can take on Primals alone, leap into endlessness in places such as Elpis, and spend extended amounts of time in vast expanses outside the star for long periods of time and never die. Never truly die... never out of reach of the mortal coil with or without the assistance of Raise spells and phoenix downs.This may explain why he feels comfortable with the risks he takes, the gambles he makes with his life in his daredevil adventures. Why he feels comfortable in a Warrior of Light role and does so for the fun of it. Why he feels just as comfortable in places such as Haukke Manor and the void version of Troia as much as he would in places like Costa del Sol, the Gold Saucer, The Lucky Card (his triple triad parlor in Mist), or Horizon.He only thinks of these as normal for him while being aware some of these are strange to others. That he lives in the moment and never gives it much thought beyond different people having different talents, tolerances, and preference. He just accepts that he's just the way he is.

I Don't Charge for GPoses

I do a lot of gposing, but I do it for my own amusement and enjoyment, as well as the amusement and enjoyment of others. This includes solo and collaborative works.

That said, I can always use the gil. So, if you feel so compelled, you can give me the amount of gil you feel is fair. I don't require payment.

I do, however, ask only a few things when I gpose with your character(s)...
